Hi, I'm Fearn.. I'm a Primary School teacher with over 25 years of classroom experience, having taught across all stages from Primary 1 to Primary 7. I hold a full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration and have also been awarded full Chartered Teacher Status by the GTCS - a recognition of professional excellence in evidence-based practice in teaching and learning.
Throughout my career I've worked in a range of educational roles - from class teacher to Literacy Development Officer for Midlothian Council. I now work part time as a Support for Learning teacher, a role I absolutely love as it allows me to focus on my real passion - providing targeted, meaningful support that helps every child to flourish and thrive.
I have training and expertise in supporting children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism and a wide range of additional learning needs. My current role as a practising Support for Learning Teacher allows me to draw upon the latest research, evidence-based strategies, resources and best practice in education to ensure that every child receives the most effective supports possible.
My Family
I live in North Berwick with my husband Steven and our two teenage children. When I'm not teaching I love to spend time together as a family - especially enjoying the beautiful beaches and coastal walks nearby. I also have two cats called Tiger and Murphy, who are very spoiled!
